Dental Emergencies

What to do when something can't wait.

  • Call us right away at (703) 790-0800 for severe tooth pain, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or swelling. If you have facial swelling with a fever, or trouble breathing or swallowing, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

  • Pick it up by the top (the crown), not the root. Rinse it gently if it's dirty, and try to put it back in its socket. If you can't, keep it in milk and call us right away. Acting quickly gives the tooth the best chance.

Treatments

A quick look at the care we offer. Our Services page has more detail.

  • Veneers, in-office teeth whitening, Invisalign clear aligners, cosmetic bonding, gum contouring and smile makeovers that combine several of these.

  • Yes. We replace single teeth, several teeth or a full arch with implants, depending on what suits you. Bone grafting is available when it's needed.

  • Usually several months from start to finish, because the bone needs time to heal around the implant. Our blog post on the dental implant timeline explains each step.

  • Clear aligners can help with crowding, gaps, mild to moderate alignment concerns and some bite issues. We'll check whether they suit your smile at a consultation.

  • Yes. Teeth tend to drift back over time, so a retainer helps keep your new smile in place.

  • Yes. Our general and family dentistry includes checkups, cleanings, fluoride and sealants for children.

  • Yes. We offer TMJ evaluation and treatment, and custom night guards that protect your teeth while you sleep.

  • Yes. Gum care includes deep cleanings (scaling and root planing), periodontal maintenance visits, crown lengthening and gum contouring.
