Wisdom Teeth Removal

Removal of wisdom teeth that are impacted, crowded or causing pain, planned with precise imaging.

Wisdom teeth are the last molars to come in, and many mouths do not have enough room for them. When they grow in at an angle, stay trapped under the gum or are hard to clean, they can cause pain, infection and damage to nearby teeth. Removing them early often makes recovery easier.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

Teens and adults whose wisdom teeth are impacted, partly erupted, causing pain or swelling, crowding other teeth, or likely to cause problems later.

What to Expect

We start with an exam and imaging to see the position of each tooth and the nearby nerves. On the day of treatment, the area is fully numbed and nitrous oxide is available to help you relax. You leave with detailed aftercare instructions.

Do all wisdom teeth need to come out?

No. If they are healthy, fully erupted and easy to clean, they can often stay. We will monitor them at your checkups.

How long is recovery?

Most people are back to normal activities within a few days. Some swelling and soreness for the first several days is normal.

What can I eat afterward?

Stick to soft, cool foods at first and avoid straws, smoking and crunchy foods while the area heals.
