PORCELAIN VENEERS
Natural-looking veneers in Vienna, VA, near Tysons Corner.
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your teeth to improve their color, shape and size. At Tysons Elite Dental in Vienna, VA, Dr. Bahar Bahrami plans every veneer case around your face, your bite and the look you want, so your new smile still looks like you.
ARE VENEERS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Veneers can cover stains that whitening can't remove, close small gaps, repair chips and even out worn or uneven teeth. At your consultation we'll check your teeth and gums and tell you honestly whether veneers, bonding, whitening or Invisalign is the best fit for your goals.

The Veneer Process
Veneers usually take a few visits, from your first consultation to the day your final veneers are bonded. Here's what to expect at each step.
We talk through what you'd like to change, examine your teeth and gums, and take photos and an iTero digital scan so we can plan your new smile precisely.
We plan the shape, length and shade of every veneer so it suits your face, your bite and your natural teeth.
After numbing the area, we gently reshape a thin layer of enamel so your veneers sit naturally. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is available if you feel nervous.
While your custom porcelain veneers are being made, you may wear temporary veneers so you can preview the shape and keep a natural look between visits.
We check the fit, color and feel of each veneer, then bond it securely to your tooth and fine-tune your bite so everything feels natural.
Brush twice a day, floss daily and keep up with regular cleanings and checkups. If you grind your teeth, a custom night guard helps protect your veneers while you sleep.
VENEERS OR BONDING?
Bonding uses tooth-colored resin and is often done in a single visit, which makes it a good choice for small chips and gaps. Porcelain veneers take more planning, but they resist stains and can change the shape and color of several teeth at once.
Veneer Questions
Quick answers to questions we hear often. See all FAQs
With good care, porcelain veneers can last many years. Brushing, flossing, regular checkups and a night guard if you grind your teeth all help them last longer.
Most patients feel little to no discomfort. We numb the area before preparing your teeth, and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is available if you feel nervous.
Dental insurance usually treats veneers as cosmetic, so they are rarely covered. CareCredit, Cherry and Sunbit financing can spread the cost into monthly payments.
Porcelain does not respond to whitening gel. If you want a brighter smile, we whiten your natural teeth first, then match your veneers to the new shade.
